Our Team
BAP is run by a team of officers, composed of committed individuals, both young professionals and students, who have been very involved with BAP throughout its development as an organization. BAP began as a student organization and has since transitioned to an emerging nonprofit.
Founder & Executive Director, Muyambi Muyambi
Muyambi, a native of Uganda, founded BAP in 2008 while still an undergraduate student at Bucknell University, PA, earning a dual degree in Civil Engineering (B.S.E.) and Economics (B.A.). Shortly after conceiving the idea for BAP, he joined several other motivated students to form the beginning of the organization. The Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU) provided the seed funding for BAP and granted the project an Outstanding Commitment Award. Muyambi was one of five students to attend the annual Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) conference in NYC in September 2008. The conference, hosted by President Bill Clinton himself, includes approximately 1,000 experts in the international development field and Muyambi spoke about his idea of BAP to all attendees during the opening plenary session.
Muyambi is known for his audacity and motivation to achieve change for the better. He is fluent in seven languages, including Spanish, German, Luganda, and Swahili, and has traveled to over 10 countries. Before Bucknell, Muyambi spent time in Norway at the Red Cross Nordic United World College; a high school aimed at promoting international understanding through bring over 85 different nationalities together.
